June 25, 2017 by warrioradmin 30 Comments

– Candito Training HQ video on this shoe

– Omar Isuf on the Adipowers

SIZING:
I GOT ONE FULL SIZE SMALLER THAN MY ACTUAL SHOE SIZE FOR CASUAL WEAR. I WEAR 10.5-11, BUT FOR THESE TYPES OF SHOES, YOU WANT A SIZE SMALLER, SO I GOT A 9.5. NICE AND SNUG.

I’m not an advanced lifter , but I have some mobility issues , specially with my ankles, I’m trying to fix that but was also curious if those kinda shoes could help me .. They’re not the cheapest pair of shoes for sure , but I think they’re worth the price , lot of positive feedback from weightlifters.. Might save some bucks and give’em a try.

He’s dead on. After reading countless reviews on how they allow extra squat depth I was skeptical-until the about the 4th rep of my 1st set. It’s remarkable how that slight angle dif affects the ankle-but it absolutely does. And they make you feel glued to the floor. Awesome product. Worth every cent.

Good review man, you definitely answered my questions about them. I want to see them in person and try them out/buy them, but I’m having trouble finding some in San Diego.

I don’t think you’d have problems with the Adipowers. I have very wide feet, too wide for Chuck Taylors. However, the Adipowers fit perfectly, with very adequate toe room. I think the Adipowers have the most elevated heel of any other oly shoe, which would make hitting depth probably easier than any other oly shoe.

why wouldnt they just make the heel out of straightup metal or wood? whats the point of a rubber heel if it has to be as hard as a puck for olylift shoes

Thank for the mention toos!  The Romaleos are awesome.  There is definitely a learning curve to it just to get 100% comfortable squatting in them like you said.  But it has to be one of the best purchases a lifter could make in my opinion.

Great review of the shoe and thanks for all the useful info!

My questions are, I kinda wear my nike running shoes a bit loose, with a little over half an inch as space between the toes and the end of the shoe. Is it still safe to go with the popular recommendation of getting a half size smaller?

How do they break in? does it expand a lot or not too much? Thanks!

First off, you win the coolest intro music award on ALL of youtube.  Sounds like an 80s WCW wrestler entrance theme song.  Second, awesome to see you told Candito you were picking these up – then made a review yourself.  Appreciated.

    Hey man,
Ive ordered these and can’t wait to receive them!! Every review I’ve seen has stated they are the best training shoes.
The website i bought it off said it runs true to size so i ordered a size 11 as usual , is it really going to run big?

Fyi, hight is different compare to adidas. So, for squats my opinion is adidas!- deadlifts would be with nikes. Ive a pair of nikes and shit really helps me holding my fit on the ground.
