Who doesn’t want a bigger bench press? To add more pounds, you obviously need to get stronger. But at the same time, using the right technique can go a long, long way. The right technique starts with the right “setup.” In this instructional video, World Record holding powerlifter Dan “BOSS” Green will show you how to setup the bench properly for achieving a bigger bench. He’ll focus on the four steps that really matter including getting the right grip, involving your shoulder blades properly, focusing on elbow positioning during the lift, and achieving the right leg drive. As bonus content, BOSS will also show you a few accessory exercises you can incorporate to increase your strength as well as add even more weight to your bench press.
Dan “BOSS” Green is a multiple World Record holding raw powerlifter in both the 220 and 242 weight classes.

Dan seems to have an issue with the muscles around his left scapula
For pausing my bench, how much if any of the weight should i have rest on
my chest?
Animal was smart to sponsor a real athlete. I’m not a major power lifter
myself but Dan Green is absolutely one of my favorites to watch on social
media. Great video.
thank you Hercules.
Nice video so usefull ! When somebody comes in a gym he just thinks “Oh
that’s the bench press. I put the weight down then up” and he doesn’t
understand that this exercice is more than that. It’s a long learning
journey.
Guys, what do you think of dips to increase the strenght for bench press ?
But isnt it cheating to push off with the chest like that? Hmm
thnx 4 the tips bro.Did anyone ever tell you, you have a good voice for
radio or brodcasting.Think about it!

Really good and to the point. Best fitness video I’ve seen in a while. ,)
Dan Green is as beast mode as it gets
It looks like his glutes come off of the bench slightly. Is acceptable
when doing the bench press (proper form)?

Dan seriously needs to get into bodybuilding only _ starting from what he
has he should do great.

on squat and deadlift for it seems like my bench went down alot 10-15lbs. i
