that powerlifting guy is awesome. I’m about the same height as him I think,
5,10 and the weight that guy works with is really good. I’m just getting
into powerlifting and if I can get anywhere near that level I will happy.
20kg bodyweight difference and he put up a fight.

why is the powerlifter squatting oly style? wouldn’t his efficiency and
strength increase if he were to wide stance, parallel, low-bar?

Anyone noticed that Johannes said that on the LEFT side, Romano, and on the
LEFT side, Philip when he was introducing them? :-D

i love all these comments saying that these aren’t fair forms of
competition. i think they are missing the point. first these aren’t for
money, nobody is winning anything more than pride. second they are
continuously challenging themselves to compete against different schools of
training and a wide weight class. Third and possible most important is the
fact that it is always good fun. Who cares if its not fair if its just a
fun competition! keep up the awesome videos!

How can you call yourself a powerlifter when you have a hard time squatting
180 kg/405 for 5 reps when you are in the 90 kg class? It would make more
sense if he weighed 70 kg. I mean is he even competing?

18 kilos de diferencia era mucho, lo correcto hubiera sido un 162 kg vs 180
    kg

I am 20 and Romano is 25 what is with that and it’s not correct Romano has
    been weighted 98 kg and I’m 108 so it’s only 10 kg and I’m am 1,90m and
Romano 1,78 what is with that !

The weight is a pretty big difference but the weightlifter is only 20 years
old! Imagine what a beast he’ll be at Romano’s age.

Seriously: Philip would have still won if they were the exact same weight.
He is an Olympic weightlifter – I´d go so far to say in the same weight
class and on the same competition level a weightlifter will always
    outperform a power-lifter.

Also, the difference in height is huge and easily makes up for the weight
difference which was confirmed to have been displayed wrong here. It was
only 10KG, not 20. The height difference between them is 12 cm, that´s a
    lot in weight lifting.
