@KHLB516 maybe he is training for strength… when ur training for strength, ur not necessarily to lift a max..

@AfrikanGod1 on week3 or somewhere, he did like 835 but it was bar with bands. I think there is reason couch is doing lighter weight. I think the train is done in order to secure his strength and his form, because in the actual competition, bad form can make the score zero. Judges can be very biased sometimes as well, so it’s best to give a best shot. And yes John can lift 850 anytime soon, no problem.

@RiseofBane I understand that, however after watching him pull 785 theres no way he could have pulled much more…I have seen him rip765 easy and pull 814 so I was shocked he could have got red light on that lift and not even pulled. If he is trying to pull 855 and break the record I figure he is going to open at 765 or 780

I think hes overtraining…too much different variations of deads in one workout and way too much assistance. If he wants the big dead he shoulf be doing it like mike tuchscherer or ed coan. Bang out a heavy top set than work some stiff legs but constantly pulling. The ghrs and stuff at this point are not neccessary. And also controlling the bar on the way down to strengthen the erectors points made by magnusson, anello and kk

Outstanding vid. Really like Youtube for this type of information. My step brother used to be bullied. He explained he was going to get bigger. I laughed at him because I didn’t believe him…. Until he gained 40 pounds of full-strength muscle mass. He used the Muscle Building Bible (look in Google). No person dares to intimidate the man anymore.

I registered last week. See what the results are. Plus the mans emails are awesome!
